Are you guys happy with the the top end power, above 80? I am happy about all my power but I am a little unsatisfied about my top end. I was wondering how you guys felt about it and what was the biggest thing you did to improve the top end power?

my first impressions were the same after getting my gsr on the expressway . ive attained more power with a little tuning , which has helped the 80mph+ (overall)acceleration . the main factor here is the gsr's gear ratios . 3rd, 4th ,& 5th gears suck for hard driving . the typer's gearbox is much more agressive in these gears . to give you an intospect the gsr's 5th gear could physically take it to ~170mph while the typr's will max out at 147mph . short and sweet the gsr's not geared agressive enough . remember too that drag inceases exponentially with speed as so will the power needed to maintain steady acceleration .

Top-end power reffers to RPM not speed.

I made a ram air to help my high speed power. I use my passenger side high beam as a scoop. My boost gauge reads an additional 1.5psi at 140mph.

    Wink

A few weeks ago I was driving back from a night out at N.E. Dragway in N.H. (fireworks under the stars / top fuellers jet cars and trucks, etc...). Anyway, on the way back home my buddies in his yellow NSX and I'm in the middle lane with my GSR and all of a sudden I see this import (not sure what it was) come up on me in the far right lane (this is a 3 lane highway 1 a.m.). He had a purple flourecent light shaped like a triangle aiming down to the ground on the lower drivers side door. He must of watched the Fast and the Furious a bunch of times. Well, my buddy in my car says to fool around a bit so I laid into it for awhile...80,90,100... and he's right behind me. O.k...110,120,130...I'm ahead but he's only a few cars back. Shit! What the fuck is that thing? O.k...by now I was humming that song Hot Rod Lincoln. Warp factor 10 Scotty! I laid on it until a 150 and the car was still pulling like a mighty locamotive. He was still only a few car lengths behind me so I said enough of this insanity and slowed down. He passed me a signalled his reverse lights as he went by. By this time my buddy in his NSX was way behind me because he a few beers at the restaurant earlier and wanted to play it safe so I had to wait awhile for him to catch up. That's the fastest I ever went in any car and it handled unbelievable. I've had a Vortech supercharged mid 11 second "90" Mustang and a Vortech supercharged low 12 second "97" Trans Am and I'll tell you I get more enjoyment out of this car that the other two cars put together. It's a very enjoyable ride and my first import. My car never ceases to amaze me each time I drive it. WOW!
